Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) in the television show. This role has earned her an Emmy nomination in the Best Supporting Actress category. In addition, she was awarded two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by the cast of a comedy.
Born in Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood at St. Louis Missouri. Jenna's mom Anne was a performer in church dramas as a child This sparked her interest in theater.
Fischer was a stage actress trained in her native country. The Off-Broadway production of Reasons for Being Happy was directed and written by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. In the following play, she was in Steve Martin's new show Meteor Shower. It was a comedy that was absurd, starring Greg Germann, Josh Stamberg and ran for an unprecedented time at the Old Globe Theatre.
The Office's Angela Kinsey (the co-star of Fischer) and her real life best friend, Angela Kinsey from The Office, started a podcast in October, called Office Ladies. The show has since become extremely popular and has been a part of the Top Ten every single week. In its first year, it received more than 200,000,000 downloads. Office Ladies took home the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Years award in January of 2021.
She's also the co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office The Story of Two Best Friends there. The memoir deals with their relationship and working together in the production of The Office.
