April Lockhart

April Lockhart born 4 July 1995. She started piano and guitar lessons in 7th grade which sparked her interest. The first song she wrote was called Different. She wrote it when she was 12 years old. At the age of 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing and honed her music ability. The following months, she started taking notes along with her father on trips to LA in addition to NY. April also began to include additional topics that were related to of her peers who are dealing in the area of bullying by peers and teens who commit suicide through the songs Take my Hand. Lockhart is a well-known lifestyle blogger and having partnerships with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia, has built a large audience. Lockhart was never born having a left-handed hand, which is what makes her who she is. But that's far from the whole story. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't ignore her status as disabled, but neither does it focus on it. The profile is a statement. The message? We each contain multitudes, that our identities and physical selves are not all that they seem. Lockhart, via video messages from his Nashville at home, claims that I do not want this to define my character. I am greater than the physical person I am. It doesn't impact my daily life. I conduct things normally, and I've discovered my own way to adjust to things. The same is true for me, and I believe it should be discussed. Lockhart inspires us to keep moving forward with self-acceptance. She admits that she has gone through phases of insecurity with her physique and being uneasy wearing certain clothing styles which exposed her arms. Nowadays, she can wear whatever she wants. And she posts pictures on social media. For her, self-love is always a lengthy journey. It's a fact that I see with everyone with whatever their insecurity is. I think it's essential to surround yourself with people who are able to see and know your true heart.
