Her birthplace was Roswell on March 29, 1985. Her name is Gerina Mendoza. Gerina Stevenson is the daughter of Mexican parents Rita Stevenson and Alan Stevenson. She is of Mexican-American heritage as well as an American by citizenship. Her passion for sports was born as a kid. Gerina started playing golf when she was 15. Gerina was a graduate of Goddard High School. In high school she won in the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. Her volleyball skills were also recognised at a national level. She went to an institution called the University of Texas in 2003. In her senior year, she won each tournament she entered. During the undergraduate years, she was awarded Conference USA's individual player of year, as well as UTEP's Female Athletic of the Year.
